Shipping & Packaging
Once you have successfully purchased an original artwork on my website, I will begin preparing all of the documents, acquiring shipping materials and packaging your artwork. This process takes 1-3 business days, depending on size, my schedule and the degree of difficulty in packaging (such as overly large size, weight, or irregular shaped works). Once the artwork is neatly packaged, I will ship it to you!
Carrier
I use a variety of carriers depending on the location of the final destination, size and weight, time-frame, and other shipping factors. I select these based on efficiency and quality and have not had a problem with shipping hundreds of works this way. You can expect your artwork to be delivered via either FedEx, UPS, or USPS. I will alert you via email as to the carrier, estimated shipping time, and your tracking number so that you can track your package as well. You are always welcome to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions that you might have throughout the process.
Shipping Time
Once the artwork has been packaged and delivered/picked up by the carrier your shipping time will vary. Shipping within the USA typically takes 1-3 business days, depending on the final destination. International shipping times vary, but usually take between 5 -7 business days, depending on final destination. Internationally, I have had artworks arrive much faster than this and on rare occasions, a bit slower due to differing customs policies in different countries (see below).
Duty & VAT Charges
Based on the country you reside in and the carrier selected, Duty or VAT charges may vary. Sometimes customs will hang on to the artwork and not release it until this extra fee is paid. Unfortunately this is many times up to the discretion of the customs agency of your country and not always predictable. Fortunately, the process is very easy to deal with. Customs will reach out to you and notify you of the additional charge, which is normally fairly inexpensive, and once paid it will be released and delivered! I am more than willing to help out with or pay for this charge via an immediate refund/partial refund. Please reach out to me with Duty or VAT charge amounts (should they occur) and we can remedy the situation quickly and reasonably. This is normally a rare occurrence but something I like to make collectors aware of ahead of time.
Shipping Options To Collector
On many of my extra large pieces, especially on canvas, International (and sometimes Domestic) buyers will have two options to choose from when checking out for shipping option prices. Because International (and sometimes Domestic) shipping prices for extra large works can be upwards of $1000 USD, you will have the option of paying the higher price to receive the artwork as is (hang ready and on the stretcher bars, or even framed), or a much lower price (sometimes as much as 1/10th of the normal price) to have the painting shipped rolled in a tube! This is a nice option for you, the collector, as you might want to open up the package and put it directly on the wall, or save a significant amount of money and take the painting out of the tube and bring to a local framer to select a framing/hanging option of your preference.
Return Policy & Refund
I am confident that you will be satisfied with your purchase! However, if you are not for any reason, you have 7 days (one normal week) to return the artwork in its original package. You must notify me via email or phone within this 7 day period, so I am aware that the return will be coming. I will refund the total amount you spent within 3 business days of receiving the artwork, minus the return shipping cost. You may also exchange your painting for another piece of equal or lesser value. Note: Extra shipping charges may apply for exchanged artwork.
Insurance
All the original artworks are insured for the value of the sale during the shipping (the shipping cost includes the insurance).
Documents & Miscellaneous
Original artworks are shipped with the following documents: custom declaration (if necessary), my certificate of authenticity, a personalized thank you note, PMS Artwork business card(s), and an invoice. All works will also come hang ready (unless you choose the option for extra large artworks to be shipped in a tube)!
